As the Vice President of Human Resources, Malvika oversees HR operations, including compliance with labor laws, employee relations, organizational design and strategy, talent acquisition and development, and compensation processes. Malvika has held senior HR positions at exclusive, platinum-rated country clubs in South Florida. Originally from India, she pursued her MBA at Columbia Business School in New York and holds accredited HR certifications from both HRCI and SHRM.
As Vice President of Acquisitions, Taylor is responsible for managing the company’s acquisitions, new business development and capital markets activities. Prior to joining Kolter Hospitality, he served as Vice President of Business Development for Mainsail Lodging & Development, Corporate Director of Business Development at Hostmark Hospitality Group, Hotel Development Manager at Hard Rock International, and Senior Associate at HVS. He began his career in hotel operations at two Forbes Five Star, AAA Five Diamond hotels in California.
As Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales, Sara oversees top line revenue, leading and advancing commercial initiatives and strategy for Kolter Hospitality’s evolving portfolio. Sara has over 20 years of industry experience in operations and sales leadership with managed, owner-operator and 3rd party management companies across the Midwest, Northeast, and Mid- Atlantic regions. Prior to joining Kolter Hospitality, Sara held senior roles as Corporate Director of Sales Training & Development, Regional Vice President, and Vice President of Sales.
Abbe is currently responsible for the oversight of the revenue and distribution strategies for Kolter’s hotel portfolio. She ensures strategies are implemented at property level to maximize revenue. She is a hospitality professional with over 25 years of revenue and operations experience working in both branded and independent hotels. She has worked in multiple markets at the property level and in regional roles along with preopening experience with multiple brands. Abbe joined Kolter Hospitality in March 2020 as Corporate Director of Revenue Management.
Abbe is a Certified Revenue Management Executive, CRME.
As VP of Hotel Development, Jorge oversees construction and development of Kolter Hospitality’s new build hotels, property improvement plans, renovations, as well as maintenance projects for the existing hotel portfolio.
With a combined 15 years of experience in construction and development, Jorge’s areas of expertise include both residential,commercial facilities, high-end hospitality and healthcare.
Jorge holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering from Florida International University and a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, specializing in MED Systems Design from Southern Polytechnic State University.
Cindy is currently responsible for the oversight of the day to day accounting and financial activities of Kolter Hospitality’s portfoliot of hotels, a Property Owners Association and accounting for the hotel ownership group and management company.
With over 25 years of experience in the hotel industry, Cindy’s background includes CFO positions with leading hospitality organizations including key financial roles with hospitality icons like PGA National Resort and Spa, Eau Palm Beach Resort, Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club, Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa and Grand Cypress Resort.
Cindy is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Hospitality Account Executive and Certified Hospitality Technology Professional. She has also received her Masters of Science in Accounting from the University of Central Florida.
As Executive Vice President of Operations, John is responsible for working directly with each of the hotel teams to improve overall operational efficiency as well as working closely with senior leadership to develop and deliver on the company’s strategy and objectives. John has over 30 years of hospitality management experience, in both independent and branded hotels in the US and Canada, including major brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Wyndham and Starwood hotels.
Prior to joining Kolter Hospitality, John was the SVP of Operations at Interstate Hotels and Resorts and had direct oversight of a diverse portfolio of full-service hotels ranging from urban convention hotels to luxury resorts. Prior to being the SVP of Operations for Interstate, John handled operations for several Four Diamond Hotels, including the Westin San Diego, Westin Bristol Place Toronto and the Wyndham Windwatch in New York.
As President of Kolter Hospitality, Scott is responsible for the oversight of the firm’s day to day operations including hotel development and management. Scott is an active hotel developer with an extensive background in the commercial sector including his previous role as President of Kolter’s Commercial Division, where he oversaw the expansion of the company’s commercial development opportunities in North America.
Scott was responsible for the development and formation of Kolter Hospitality in April 2014, which currently manages the day to day operations for eleven hotels totaling 1,911 keys located throughout Florida. Kolter Hospitality and its portfolio of hotels, under Scott’s leadership, have received numerous industry distinctions and awards of recognition for performance excellence in the past 12+ years.
